The F1 season started on Wednesday at Bahrain’s Sakhir circuit. The biggest buzz is happening in Red Bull’s stall, because the parent company has launched an investigation by the team manager by Christian Horner due to alleged inappropriate behavior.
Viaplay’s supplier following the tests in the pit Mervi Kallio had tried to dig up more information about Horner’s position.
– It’s somehow a special atmosphere that Horner is there, but you can’t ask him anything about it. Even the Red Bull board has forbidden those present to comment in any way, Kallio told Viaplay.
– I already had time to talk with a few operators. It was thought there that we could already get news today that Horner will have to step down. The decision has apparently already been made.
However, it is quite unlikely that Horner would still be in Red Bull’s pit rooms at the moment, if the parent company had already decided to kick him out. According to an additional rumor, the designer guru Adrian Newey would have announced that he would leave with the same opening of the door if Horner was forced out.
That, in turn, would already mean the destruction of the entire Red Bull empire.
– Of course, this is all just speculation, Kallio admitted.
