Kallio visited the Hanaa podcast as a guest, where she explained that her husband was the reason for her absence Jon’s birthdays.
– My husband turns 50 years old. This is the eighth year I’ve been doing formula one races, so this is the first weekend I’ll miss, Kallio said in the podcast.
The couple has been together for over 30 years. Kallio told For Apu magazine a year ago in March, that she went on a first date with Joni in Loviisa in 1992.
We went on a tennis date at Kallio’s initiative.
The competition in Azerbaijan will be held on May Day weekend, when Joni’s birthday is held.
Kallio said in the podcast that planning the party is already underway.
– We have a party on May Day, so I’m not going to Baku. I’ll go to Miami right after May Day, Kallio said.
Kallio has been touring the F1 pit since 2016. Skipping the Baku competition is the first absence not related to corona restrictions.
Kallio worked for years at MTV before moving to Viaplay.
