Merel Cornet-van der Linden (31) died the day before yesterday only a month after doctors found cancer for the second time. Three weeks ago NH Nieuws interviewed her: “I have never been happier than now”, she said at the time.
Yesterday her husband Bob wrote on Facebook: “Bye beautiful, beautiful, brave, powerful and above all sweetest Mereltje. We will miss you so much.”
In September her doctors thought that despite the many metastases, including in her head, Merel would still have four or five months. It turned out to be even less than that.
