The German company updates its luxury minivans, which now become more modern and technological. The Eqv, the electric variant, is available with a 90 and 60 kWh battery, with a peak power of 204 HP. The two luxury minivans Mercedes Class V and Eqv (the electric version) are updated and become even more modern, safer and more technological. They are available in different body lengths: the V-Class is available in three versions (compact, long and extralong) and the Eqv in two (long and extralong). They can accommodate up to eight people, with customers able to choose from several seating options, including a lounger bench and luxury seats.

new strategy

In 2023, Mercedes presented a premium strategy for commercial vehicles, which will apply to all newly developed vehicles. The goal is to fully implement this strategic change with the next introduction modular and scalable electrical architecture for vans (Van.Ea for short) starting from 2026. The new Eqv and Class V represent an important stage in this journey. The models can already be ordered. The standard equipment has been extensively updated and adapted more precisely to customer needs. The new V-Class also forms the basis for the Marco Polo Class V camper, which is offered ex works.

The V-Class is available with these trim levels: Style, Avantgarde and Exclusive, as well as with the Amg Line Package and the Night Package. The Eqv, available in a single trim level, offers, among other things, specific exterior and interior design packages. The German company has updated the aesthetics, with the front characterized by a striking grille and a strongly defined bumper. Depending on the trim level, the radiator grille is surrounded by an LED light band. There V-Class Exclusive, the top of the range, features a vertical Mercedes star on the bonnet for the first time. The adaptive Multibeam LED headlights with an elegant design add a further touch of style to all models. At the rear, a new chrome strip with Mercedes writing and newly designed LED lights ensure a clear aesthetic characterization. The passenger compartment is mainly characterized by a redesigned instrument panel with two 31.24 centimeter widescreen displays, corresponding to 12.3 inches, new and elegant air vents and a new generation steering wheel with hand recognition. Furthermore, the central console, also redesigned, supports wireless charging for smartphones, and a new LED lighting system has been adopted.

The Adas standard equipment of the Eqv and the V-Class is very extensive and, among other things, includes the driver attention monitoring system, the rain sensor, emergency braking, and automated parking. The Eqv, the electric variant, is available in two battery size (90 and 60 kWh), with a peak power of 204 HP and a continuous power of 95 HP, with the following combined energy consumption: 29.43-27.04 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km. The WLTP electric range of the EQV varies from 277 to 365 kilometres. It supports both alternating current (Aa) charging at home or at public charging stations up to 11 kW, and direct current (DC) charging at fast charging stations up to 110 kW as standard. At a fast charging station, the charging time is approximately 40 minutes from 10 to 80%. While the V-Class is available with the proven Om654 diesel engine, which features three power levels: 163 HP, 190 HP, 237 HP. During the year, a new petrol engine, the M254, will be available as a 231 HP mild hybrid.
