Heavy crash in Lichtenberg on Friday evening!
Around 9 p.m. the driver of a Mercedes was driving on Bornitzstraße when he suddenly shot across Siegfriedstraße, broke through a small grating at a bus stop and crashed into the wall of the house. Fortunately, no waiting passengers were injured.
The driver had no pulse when rescuers arrived. However, the emergency services were able to resuscitate the driver on site and transport him to a hospital.
Property damage of an unknown amount occurred on the facade of the BVG depot.
A special commissioner for traffic offenses of the Berlin police is investigating why the driver lost control of the car.
