Mercator celebrates 90th birthday with exhibition

The Mercator is now a protected monument and perhaps the most famous ship in the country. As a tourist attraction, the three-master attracts thousands of visitors every year. The fact that the ship finally moved to Ostend is still difficult in Antwerp.

The three-master has already undergone several major restorations over the years. The exhibition is also a pat on the back for the many volunteers who maintain the ship on a daily basis. Ninety years Mercator runs all year round.
