Tom Scheepstra from Meppel has stopped as chairman of the CDJA, the national youth department of the CDA. He was in charge of the young Christian Democrats for more than a year.
The politician took over from Hielke Onnink from Hardenberg in 2021. However, Scheepstra is not sufficiently successful in combining the presidency with his job. He has therefore decided to stop immediately during the summer recess.
De Meppeler previously campaigned during the previous parliamentary elections. He was in place 55 in Drenthe for the CDA. Scheepstra remains a member of the party.
