Lanyards, pins, snow globes, dream catchers, baby clothes or drinking bowls for dogs. “What actually isn’t?”, asks Rhona Slomp. She is the creator and organizer of the Disney Market Meppel. This will be the first Disney fair in the North of the Netherlands.
The time has come on May 25, 2024. In the De Poele community center in Meppel. Then there are 92 tables full of brand new Disney merchandise. Visitors (Disney enthusiasts and collectors) can buy or exchange items there.
92. That is a completely different number than Rhona Slomp initially thought. Forty exhibitors seemed like a good number to her. But two days after she went online with the plans, it is already sold out.
She then walks through the community center again. Measure how much space there is. She can go to fifty tables. But they are also sold out quickly. She hears from the manager that the second room can also be used. This brings her to 92 tables. Also sold out quickly. “But we just don’t have more space.” And yet registrations are still coming in. “They will go on the waiting list.”
