After his elimination from the World Cup, darts professional Cameron Menzies shows unusual emotions. He gets a clear reaction to this.
Darts professional Cameron Menzies was eliminated in the first round of the Darts World Championship in London. After the narrow 2:3 against the Englishman Charlie Manby, the Scot suddenly lost his composure.
In a moment of frustration, he hit his fist several times from below on his table. His water bottle and other utensils flew down. DAZN commentator Adrian Geiler reacted with surprise in the live broadcast: “Oh my goodness, he’s breaking the table.”
The incident had consequences for Menzies: the behavior led to a warning from referee Kirk Bevins. The spectators at Alexandra Palace also reacted to the freak out with loud boos. Menzies left the stage with his arms raised. He was obviously sorry about the situation.
Menzies had miscalculated when the score was 2:2 sets and 1:2 legs and thus missed his chance to equalize. Shortly afterwards he was eliminated. The former partner of darts player Fallon Sherrock was considered the slight favorite in the run-up to the duel with Manby.
