A five-star place where your car is nice and warm and is extra well cared for. Veghel has had a real car hotel for a while now, as one of the few places in Brabant. The only thing missing is room service.
Nick Hendriks and Coen van den Tillaart from Go Car take the canvas off an old Mercedes. The car has been perfectly restored and has a ‘room’ in the car hotel. “Yes, there are special specimens here,” says Nick. “This is from a customer who takes very good care of it. As you can see, he looks great.”
And so Nick and Coen’s garage is full of special cars. Many luxury Porsches and Mercedes. But also an old Mini Cooper, for example. “If you want to keep it looking good for a long time, you have to store it in a heated garage,” says Nick. “That’s why the car is here.”
“This is an extra treat for my car.”
“Either people don’t have a place at home, or they have a car they don’t want to drive in the winter,” Nick continues. “But cars for oldtimer rallies, for example, are also parked here. We then ensure that they are fully fueled and ready when they are picked up.”
Menno van der Pol from Veghel has his Porsche in the car hotel. “Yes, this is an extra treat for my car. But it is also necessary,” he says. “I want to keep the car tidy. And in these times with snow and cold, it is not nice if it is outside.”
“A bubble bath, which is unfortunately not included, but a nice soapy water.”
Cars in the hotel get a trickle charger so that the battery is always full. The tire pressure is checked regularly. “And we keep the room dust-free and at a pleasant temperature for the car,” says Nick.
But things like a bubble bath are not there. “Unfortunately, that is not included”, Nick laughs. “But we can clean her completely. Then the car gets a nice soapy water.”
And also room service is missing. “Fortunately, the cars don’t ring the bell,” says Nick. “They are quiet customers.”
