Men drive around in stolen car, police give chase

Two men were arrested on Sunday evening for driving a stolen car. The police wanted to arrest them, but that did not go without a fight. The two ignored a stop sign and took off. The police gave chase.

Several units were hot on the heels of the two men. In the vicinity of the Ven in Veghel, the men got out of the car and continued on foot. Police arrested them after a short chase. One of the suspects is a 26-year-old man from Heesch, the other is 24 years old and has no permanent residence. They are being held for questioning.

During the chase, a police car crashed into a white Toyota Avensis near a parking lot near a cafeteria on the Ven. The Toyota backed out of the parking lot as the police car drove by.

After the chase, the police tried to trace the driver of the Toyota, but they were unsuccessful. “We would like to get in touch with the driver to settle any damage,” the police said on Twitter.
