Two men attacked, injured and robbed an elderly woman in her apartment in Wedding.
The two strangers rang the doorbell in an apartment building on Togostrasse on Friday afternoon, the police said on Saturday. The 87-year-old opened the door and saw two men, one of whom was carrying a package.
Because the situation seemed strange to the pensioner, she unsuccessfully tried to close the door. The duo reportedly forced their way into the apartment and violently knocked the woman to the ground. After she had alerted an emergency service with her house emergency call button, which she wears on her body, the men fled unrecognized.
When speaking to the police, the woman noticed that she was missing several rings. She was taken to the hospital with injuries to her face and forearms.
