Memorial monument ‘Brothers in Arms’ in Zonnebeke finally complete with bronze statue

The statue illustrates the haunting story of Australian soldier Jim who buries his brother John on the battlefield of the First World War. The work of art took a while, but today it could be taken to the crane with two authentic vehicles from the First World War to be placed.

The 800kg bronze statue was created by an Australian artist. That took half a year. The entire project costs more than 160,000 euros.
