The boy band NSYNC (or ‘N Sync), which broke up more than 16 years ago, arrived at the MTV Video Music Gala on September 13. Band members Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick stepped on stage together to present the first award of the evening.
The audience started to squeal when one of the presenters of the gala Nicki Minaj announced the band on stage. Especially the singer Taylor Swift seemed to be extremely excited about the boy band.
This is a rare situation, as the last time the band members got together was in 2013, when they performed their all-time hits at the same gala Bye Bye Bye and Girlfriend.

– Hello VMA audience. More than 20 years ago, we won the best pop video award for our song Bye Bye Bye. It was our first VMA award and it meant a lot to us, Chasez began.
– That award summed up our hard work, Kirkpatrick continued.
– Now we want to thank MTV and especially all of you in the audience, Fatone added.
After the speech, the group presented the best pop award, which was eventually won by Swift. The singer was extremely excited to meet the band and he even hugged all the band members. Bass even gifted Swift a friendship bracelet. For Swift, it was like a fan meeting
– I had your figure doll, Swift said.

However, to the disappointment of many, the band did not perform during the evening. NSYNC was one of the most successful boy bands of the 1990s. Timberlake left the band in 2002 and NSYNC broke up in 2007. Now and then the band has quickly gotten back together in different lineups. The band’s hits include, among others It’s Gonna Be Me, Tearin’ Up My Heart and I Want You Back.
The band’s return has been rumored for a long time. Suspicions were confirmed after the members were rumored to be making their first song together Trolls Band Together for the movie. NSYNC’s last album was released in 2001 Celebrity.
