American actress Melinda Dillon has died. Dillon was 83 years old when he died. Dillon’s family made the matter public by publishing an obituary. The obituary said Dillon died on January 9. The cause of death was not made public.

Dillon is best known for his roles in movies Magnolia (1999), A Christmas Story (1983), Tertiary connection (1977) and Bigfoot and the Hendersons (1987).

Dillon’s most recent acting performances were seen in the 2007 TV series Sydänmaiilla and the film Reign Over Meafter which the actor retired.

During his career, Dillon received several nominations at various award galas.
