The singer, who according to The Mirror Together with the other Spice Girls Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel C, Victoria Beckham is said to have been invited to the wedding of her son Brooklyn, fears that the big day will be a lot less festive. Mel B would take into account that her ex Stephen Belafonte uses the opportunity to send bailiffs at her.
Mel B and Stephen had been together for ten years when they broke up in 2017. She has since accused her ex of abusing her emotionally and physically, allegations that Belafonte has always denied. Mel has confided to friends that she fears her ex “wants to leave her penniless” and plans to send bailiffs after her. “The wedding is meant to be a happy time and the reunion of old friends. But Mel knows there is a dark cloud over the journey in the form of Stephen,” a business partner of Mel told the British newspaper.
“On many of her last trips to the United States, she was eventually tracked down by Stephen and presented with court papers. He just can’t leave her alone. She has been so brave to support other victims of domestic violence as well and he is furious about that. Flying to Miami can be very stressful. Mel wants to move on, but is upset by all the court dramas.”
