After years of silence, Caroline van Eeden has decided to go public about everything she has experienced with the Meiland TV family and if that is all true, then Erica and Martien Meiland have quite a mask on when the camera is on. They are inhumane creatures in real life, the former family friend explains.

Angel Amanda

According to Caroline, the Meilandjes showed their worst side when things went wrong in their French chateau with housekeeper Amanda, who was hired through an employment agency. “Amanda is really a kind of angel who has descended here on the chateau, who just does the ironing for four hours a day,” Martien explained. at the time out in the soap.

He said he was very happy with this Amanda. “She really likes it, it’s relaxed. At eleven o’clock a cup of coffee and two sugar cubes for Amanda. Yes, it is really, really great.”

Ugly fall

Then something terrible happens. Martien at the time: “Yes, today was a very bad morning. I got a call from a French number and it was our Amanda, the woman who does the ironing for us. It says: ‘Erica, Erica, ici, ici.’ I thought: what is it?! Before I call Erica, I’ll walk there.”

He continued: “I come here and she’s lying all over with those legs and head all like that. I think: what is this, she has fallen. All water around them. Then she started vomiting and spitting, but on her back, so she almost choked. It was so terrible to see.”

Caroline in tears

It is noticeable in the episode in question that only Caroline is in tears. She sobs: “When you see a woman lying on the ground so helpless and completely panicked and she can’t move and she is so scared and she clings to you completely out of fear… Yes, that does something to me. That woman was so helpless.”

Afterwards, she suggests to the family that they take a first aid course, but the rest thinks this is unnecessary. Martien did show his compassion: “I thought it was so bad and she also said: ‘Apologies’, while that poor child was lying on the floor.”

How did this go?

How did this really go? Caroline says in the Story: “Her name was Amanda. She slipped in the laundry room and fell on her head. Resulting in a gaping wound. The three started shouting hysterically. Martien shouted: That ironing lady has hit her head on the ground! What’s wrong with her? Because yes, she made a gurgling sound.”

She continues: “I took her in my arms and waited with her for 45 minutes for an ambulance. I thought she was going to die. And the Meilandjes? They called the camera crew to come and film urgently, continued with their activities, and left us there. I’ll say it: they have no empathy whatsoever.”

It is not known whether Ms. Amanda is still alive.
