Meilandjes biographer supports Yvonne: ‘A sequel to the croquette shop, after all?’

Jan Dijkgraaf, the biographer of the Meilandjes, is willing to support Yvonne Coldeweijer with a crowdfunding campaign if she does appeal in the croquette case. “I’m not sure yet,” said the juice hyena.

Yvonne Coldeweijer said in her podcast last Wednesday that she will not appeal in the croquette case brought by Rachel Hazes. “My intuition is that I’m just never going to win. A lot of lawyers and lawyers say to me: ‘You’re going to win that easily’, but I just don’t trust it anymore,” said the juice queen.

Croquette profession

A pity, says Jan Dijkgraaf. The biographer of the Meilandjes climbed into the pen yesterday and wrote Yvonne a letter from Jan. He starts by saying that he quite understands her decision because of all the costs and hassle. “Moreover, there is already a little satisfaction (…) now that Rachel will forever go through life as the cremated croquette.”

Nevertheless, Jan thinks it would be useful to appeal anyway. The judge no longer allows Yvonne to say ‘cremated croquette’ and that will not stand up to a higher court, the columnist thinks. “After that appeal, you can call the cremated croquette cremated croquette again.”

Crowdfund action

It is also a bit of self-interest, Jan admits. For example, he just wants to continue to call Mark Rutte the ‘talking sewing machine’ and Sigrid Kaag the ‘shockingly arrogant hate witch’. “My freedom of expression and right to satire as a simple piece writer in Eesterga is in your hands, Yvonne Coldeweijer.”

He continues: “I am therefore happy to contribute to a crowdfunding campaign to cover your costs of an appeal. I can organize it for you if necessary. After all, unlike the cremated croquette, you don’t have a corpse at your disposal that keeps spewing euros at you like a runaway slot machine for decades.”

Yvonne thinks

Jan’s offer has made Yvonne doubt, she writes to her juice channel. She said on Wednesday that she would not appeal, but: “At that time I had not yet read the strong ‘note from Jan’. I’m not sure yet.”

Presenter Daan Nieber tells RTL Boulevard that Yvonne will make a decision after the weekend. “Wednesday is of course meatloaf day, but next Monday is croquette day. Then Yvonne Coldeweijer decides whether she will appeal against that verdict about the cremated croquette gate.”

‘I hope so’

TV connoisseur Rob Goossens supports Yvonne in this matter and hopes that she will appeal. “I hope she will. I would hope for the whole of the Netherlands that she wins over the cremated croquette.”

His somewhat sour colleague Clarice Stenger, who is big on Rachel-bestie Bridget Maasland thinks otherwise. “I was actually happy with this statement, because it really puts a stop to those juice channels, that you can’t just say everything about everyone.”

Yvonne in China

However, Rob thinks a ban on ‘cremated croquette’ is going too far. “Everyone can use it, except Yvonne Coldeweijer. That’s the funny thing about the situation.”

Or, as Yvonne puts it: “You can say it all, but I can’t do that anymore, because I apparently live in China!”
