We know them from their chic castle in France, but in the new VTM2 program ‘De Meilandjes without money’, the flamboyant family of Martien Meiland (60) omits all luxury. For a month they exchange their million-dollar house for a modest rental house and they have to get by on a living wage. In the first episode, the family discovers their new home. “How small it is”, daughter Maxime (26) exclaims immediately. “And there’s carpet on the floor. That will probably stink with the dogs.” “It is also very dirty”, Martien adds. The full first episode can be seen on VTM2 on Wednesday evening at 8.30 pm.
