Singer Meiju Suvas and her son Joakim Berger20, arrived together at the 15th anniversary of Rymy-Eetu, a restaurant located in the center of Helsinki.
Joakim has not consciously avoided publicity.

What kind of reactions has Joakim encountered when people have heard that Meiju Suva is his mother?
– They reacted quite well, not hysterically at all, Joakim laughs.
– Sometimes, out of embarrassment, they start singing my songs at karaoke parties, Meiju reveals.

Meiju says that motherhood has been rather uncomplicated to combine with a music career.
– Of course, when they were little and cried in the window, “Mother, don’t leave”, it was terrible, Meiju recalls.
– However, in the end, you were more at home. You were away for the weekends, but you were home for weeks, says Joakim.
Meiju says that it was easy for her to leave because it was good for the children to be with their father as well. The children’s good friends and the rest of the safety network also warm Meiju’s heart.
