Medieval weekend for 640 years of ‘Battle of Westrozebeke’

About 640 years ago, an army of rebellious Flemish cities fought with the strong French army at the foot of the Goudberg in Westrozebeke. The Flemish lose the battle, but Westrozebeke was spared. Since then, that battle has been remembered as the Battle of Westrozebeke. The event is also based on the Marian devotion and the accompanying walk in the village.
