Medieval quay wall uncovered in Ypres

The remains show the importance of Ypres as a cloth city in the Middle Ages. Goods were then brought in by boats on the river Ieperlee to the Grote Markt. Remains of a harbor crane to unload and load the boats have also been found. Tomorrow afternoon there are guided tours for the public on the site of the unique finds.
