Mediaset will broadcast its political series Servant of the People in Spain

‘servant of the people’, the tv series that marked the beginning of the political career of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will be issued openly by Mediasetafter the production company has bought its rights in Spain.

As indicated by the company that manages Telecinco and Cuatro in a press release, the fiction consists of a satirical portrait of Ukrainian politics centered on the story of Vasyl Goloborodko, a high school teacher played by Zelensky.

His character becomes president of the country after popular and media support received after a video secretly recorded in one of his classes was broadcast, in which he gave a speech against government corruption.

Zelensky created and produced this series originally released in 2015 on the Ukrainian television channel 1+1 and which had great success in the country, to the point that the then actor baptized with the name of the fiction -‘Servant of the people’- the political party with which he won the presidential elections in 2019.

Mediaset has pointed out that the series is an “audiovisual document that despite being fiction, allows us to know the origin of the political career of the Ukrainian president, who has taken on an important role in international news.”
