As the ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski, who is usually very well informed, reported on the last day of the change period, Schröder (28) will play for them in the future Houston Rockets – the previous team of Theis.
The 29-year-old Theis therefore changes to the Boston Celtics, who only signed Schröder at the beginning of the season and for whom Theis was active for the first three years of his NBA career. The deal was initially not confirmed.
Another change for Schröder
In the NBA, players rarely have a say in such deals. Schröder had before the step after Boston still for them Los Angeles Lakers played. Theis had a contract with the in August rockets signed, but has not been used at all in recent weeks and was last active on January 14th. Theis began his NBA career in 2017 with the Celtics. Then last season he became one of the Chicago Bulls sent and went to from there in the summer Houston.
Both the Celtics like them too rockets have so far fallen far short of their own expectations this season. the rockets are bottom of the table Western Conference, the Celtics are seventh out of 15 in the East.
