According to media reports, national player Serge Gnabry is about to extend his contract with FC Bayern Munich.
According to information from the sports portal “The Athletic”, the 27-year-old winger is expected to sign a new “long-term” contract with the German record champions “in the next few days”. The TV broadcaster Sky also reported on Friday about the upcoming expansion of the cooperation. The offensive player’s current working paper runs in Munich until June 30, 2023.
Munich’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic recently stated that the club “absolutely wanted to keep” Gnabry. “I think we showed him the necessary appreciation. I hope that he will choose FC Bayern,” Salihamidzic told Sky TV at the end of June.
Gnabry, like star newcomer Sadio Mané, started training with Bayern after the summer break last week. The Bayern stars will present themselves to their fans in the Allianz Arena on Saturday, after which they will go on a week-long trip to the USA.
Gnabry has won the championship four times with Bayern, the DFB Cup twice and the Champions League in 2020. The 27-year-old has scored 64 goals in 171 competitive games for FCB.
