Medal mirror: Kjeld Nuis leads the Netherlands to lead in Beijing | Olympics

Host country China is fourth with two golds and two silvers. Ziwei Ren gave the Chinese team its second gold medal with his victory in the 1000 meters in the short track. Germany is fifth with two gold and one silver medal. Denise Herrmann gave the German team the second gold medal with her win in the 15-kilometer race in the biathlon. Norway dropped from first to sixth place. The Scandinavian team only received a bronze medal.
