Potatoes:
about 4 potatoes
oil, spices to taste (salt, pepper, chili)
Meatballs:
400 g of minced beef
3 pieces of bread soaked in milk (you can also use breadcrumbs or omit bread completely)
1 tablespoon roasted onion
1-5 tablespoons chopped parsley (leaf parsley)
1 egg
salt, black pepper mill, chili grits
grated mozzarella and top if desired
oil / grease for rotation
1. Wash the potatoes. Thinly slice with mandolin or knife. Put the slices in cold water, making meatball dough in the meantime.
2. Squeeze the extra milk from the bread slices, mix in the minced meat, egg and spices you want (for example, salt, pepper, parsley, chili flakes, grated mozzarella and roasted onion).
3. Pour off the water from the potatoes and dry the slices with a baking sheet. Mix the oil and spices with the potatoes and spread evenly on a baking sheet.
4. Roll the meatballs with oiled hands and spread them evenly over the potatoes.
5. Bake in a 225-240 degree oven for about half an hour. After the damper has been in the oven for 10-15 minutes, add grated cheese if desired.
