Mayor of Molenbeek and Secretary of State Mahdi in dispute over asylum center

An asylum center in Molenbeek where refugees are received is currently causing a round of tug-of-war between Mayor Catherine Moureaux (PS) and State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Sammy Mahdi (CD&V). The Molenbeek mayor has drawn up an official report to have the center closed. This writes VRT and is confirmed to Belga. The State Secretary asks for consultation, because a closure is not an option for him due to the shortage of space at Fedasil.
