May holidays are just around the corner, here’s what the weather is going to do

It’s still pretty cool for the time of year. And for people who have a holiday next week and want to go out for a few days in their own country, Rico Schröder of Weerplaza does not have a great prospect. The weather won’t get much better next week. “Real spring weather is still not coming.”

This Thursday is also changing. In the morning it was mostly cloudy with some light rain and drizzle here and there. “In the afternoon we will have to deal with showers and during those showers there is a chance of thunder,” Rico said on Thursday morning in the radio program ‘WAKKER!;’ on Omroep Brabant. “Although the sun occasionally breaks through. It will be about 12 degrees at the most.”

Rain for quite some time
It will rain next evening and night and we will also start with rain on Friday. “It will rain for quite some time, especially in the center of the country, but the north of the province may also have to deal with it.” Further south, Rico expects only a single shower. “Later on Friday, the sun gradually breaks through. The temperature will be around 16 degrees on Friday.”

On Saturday the temperature can rise to about 18 degrees. “We will then start with sun, but in the afternoon we may again have to deal with a few showers.”

‘Very cool for the end of April’
The temperature will drop from Sunday. “After the weekend it will be about 10 or 11 degrees at the most. That is very cool for the end of April. From then on we will have to deal with a few showers every day. From King’s Day, next Thursday, the temperature seems to be rising again, But real spring weather is still not coming.”
