Maximum 100 kilometers per hour on E17 in Kortrijk, possibly from 2023

An agreement has been reached about the maximum speed on the E17 in Kortrijk towards France. The city has wanted a maximum speed of 90 kilometers per hour for years. Now that will be 100 kilometers per hour, instead of 120.

The speed reduction only applies on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. This is for road safety and smooth flow.

In the other direction, to Ghent, you will still be allowed to drive 120 kilometers per hour. The reason for this is that fewer accidents happen there than on the other side.
