Maxime Meiland sees her popularity continue to decline, notes RTL Boulevard presenter Luuk Ikink. “Of course there is also a nasty, unpleasant atmosphere around her now.”

She has never been a crowd favorite, but ever since Maxime Meiland started making all kinds of intense accusations, things have really hit home. According to RTL Boulevard presenter Luuk Ikink, her popularity figures are clearly in the red. He calls her in The BLVD Podcast as ‘influencer who is not doing well’.

‘It did not work’

According to Luuk, it is evident from the statistics. “If you look at the numbers and the statistics on her Instagram, Maxime Meiland is on a decline. It is in red, they say. Of course, there is also a nasty, unpleasant atmosphere surrounding it now with the lawsuit. That might be a little less cheerful to follow. Could that be it?”

Colleague Rob Goossens thinks that the defamation case – Maxime has to appear in court because of a serious abuse accusation – does her no good. “That will certainly play a role. I also think that Maxime has not been able to break away from her father’s popularity anyway.”

Navel cord

In fact, Maxime is still hanging on to the umbilical cord, Rob wants to say. “She did that program with her sister, about children’s rooms, and that was not the hit that Chateau Meiland is. If she has a lot of viewers, then you can actually bet that Martien Meiland is also somewhere in the shot.”

Maxime is too dependent, he says. “It’s starting to reach a bit of a dead end, while she had bought that very expensive house with the idea that all the income will come, but I don’t see it very positively for her anymore.”

No swimming pool

Luuk wonders what Maxime should do now. “What would you do if you were her?”

Rob: “In any case – and she has already initiated this – I would sell that expensive house and start acting normally.”

Luuk: “Just a normal house.”

Rob: “Then no swimming pool.”

Luuk: “Yes, haha, you have to do something.”
