Maxime Meiland has surprised her followers with a new hairstyle: she is now dark blonde with curls. Why does she do that? “Could it have something to do with that lawsuit?”
Maxime Meiland’s new haircut provokes quite a few reactions. Many people leave comments below her post on Instagram. “Dark hair doesn’t suit her at all, makes her look old and hard,” shouts a certain Mirko. And Jonker responds very meanly: “Well, of course he is a hard liar.”
Dark and curly
Show expert Bart Ettekoven highlights the news Show news. “Everyone was like, hey, she looks different, what kind of new look is this? It looks a bit darker and a lot curlier and it is. What’s the story now?”
He continues: “It is her own color and it is also her own curls, so the blonde cut and as we have all come to know her, that is not her natural look. This actually kind of wakes Maxime up.”
For the lawsuit?
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker thinks that Maxime may have done this for the abuse case that will be heard soon. “Could it have something to do with that lawsuit? That she wants to appear more serious? Because of course she has a bit of that… Well, I don’t want to say that loose, but that flamboyant, also with that blonde haircut.”
Bart: “Do you think so?”
Guido: “Well, it could be possible, right? That she thinks: I have to tell a serious story later, I may have to do something in terms of image…”

The blonde expert Anouk Smulders reacts in surprise. “Because blonde, isn’t that possible?”
Bart jokes: “No, as a blonde you are really not taken seriously.”

Appointment at hairdresser
Tooske Ragas is completely shocked by this attack on blondes. “Well, I have an appointment with the hairdresser this week, but I’m going to cancel it. I’ll let the whole thing grow out!”
