Maxime tells to Show news that she wants a real wedding dress. “All white. You only get married once, that’s what we assume,” she says with a laugh. “So yes, you have to unpack.”
Special task
Claire is given a special task during the wedding, says Maxime. “Clairtje is going to wear the rings. She said that almost immediately after Leroy asked me: ‘Mom, I really want to bring the rings on such a pillow’. And she’s going to be a flower girl. She really has a role and she likes that.”
Martien and Erica
Usually the father takes the bride to the altar, but with the Meilandjes they do it a little differently. “My mother had already said that she is going to take me away. I also think my mother should absolutely do that. My father is just going to chat with everyone and have a little wine. Do what he’s good at. And a little speech would be nice”, hints Maxime.
Marriage proposal
Maxime and Leroy announced via Instagram at the beginning of March that they are getting married. “YES!”, Maxime wrote enthusiastically with the beautiful pictures of the marriage proposal. The couple has been together since August 2020. The two met in France, during the filming of Chateau Meiland† Leroy worked as a cameraman on the wildly popular program. The spark quickly flew between the two. Last March they announced that they were expecting a child together. On September 14, daughter Vivé was born.
