Queen Máxima pulled out a well-known dress for the festive meal. She previously wore this dress during Prinsjesdag in 2018.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima posed for an official photo with their two guests. This shows that Máxima was once again wearing her dress in pastel shades by the Italian designer Luisa Beccaria.

The Queen did not wear exactly the same look as during Prinsjesdag in 2018. Where she then went for a special hat, she now opted for a tiara with aquamarines. She also opted for other earrings and wore gloves with Prinsjesdag.

Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and his wife Savita were not the only ones present at the state banquet. There were several guests, including Princess Beatrix. During the state banquet, all invited guests held a minute of silence to reflect on the horrific situation in Ukraine.

King Willem-Alexander gave a speech prior to the dinner, in which he spoke about Ukraine, the significance of India as a partner for the Netherlands and climate change. But of course we also had to eat. The menu included guinea fowl, sautéed avocado, potato rösti and lemon meringue.
