Despite the strong wind, Queen Máxima looks stunning again, this time in a bright red cape dress by Natan. She has to hold on to her matching hat for a moment.
Máxima carries Natan in Vienna
The clutch that Máxima has with her is a design by Sophie Habsburg. A designer with royal ties, she is Archduchess Sophie of Austria. That is certainly no coincidence!
King Willem-Alexander seems to do the well-known with his tie flag dressing: dress after the flag of the country you are visiting.
State visit
The royal couple is in Austria at the invitation of Federal President Alexander van der Bellen. The king flew there himself. Minister Hoekstra of Foreign Affairs is also on board. The Netherlands and Austria have a strong bond and this state visit emphasizes that. The theme of the visit is sustainable mobility, connected society and cultural exchange.
Schedule
Today the two start with a welcome ceremony at the Hofburg in Vienna. In the afternoon they lay a wreath at the Namur Monument in Ostarrichi Park for the victims of the Second World War.
This is followed by a tour of the memorial that commemorates the victims of the Holocaust. A visit to the Mayor of Vienna and the Vice-Presidents of the Parliament is also planned.
state banquet
Tonight we will probably see pictures of Máxima in a beautiful dress with tiara. A state banquet at Belvedere Palace is planned. The king will make a table speech.
