UA queen jumping from a parachute had never been seen before. Maxima of Holland did it. On a visit to Breda, at the parachute school, she did not hesitate to take off. On the other hand, was it a courtesy visit or not? And, thus putting aside the royal formalities, she put on her military suit and jumped. Fearless.
Indeed, they say the daughters and the king worried about his determination. The heir to the throne, Catherina Amalia, asked her mother if she was really sure about flying. The queen replied that it had always been her curiosity, the Dutch tabloids say. And so Maxima also earned this record, as well as being the first Dutch queen of contemporary foreign origin.
Maxima of Holland in military “jumpsuit”
Indeed, Dutch newspapers praised their sovereign’s spirit of initiative. That, put aside her heels and her couture look in bright shades, she put on a … jumpsuit, a military suit and, in a sporty way, she let herself be guided towards the new adventure.
In recent days the queen instead she had been to Valkenburg, in the south of Holland, to visit the 700 people who were displaced last year after a terrible storm.
After the launch, the sovereign went back to wearing her “clothes” wearing a look that mixed purple and beige. She chose a purple silk shirt and combined it with a beige duster coat.
