Max Verstappen, the Dutch pilot of the Red Bull team, who became the world champion in Formula 1 for the 3rd time in a row, also won the US Grand Prix.
The race at the 5,513-kilometer Circuit of the Americas in Austin, the capital of the state of Texas, was held over 56 laps.
The US Grand Prix was held in the organization where Verstappen declared the world championship for the third time in a row with the previous race held in Qatar.
In the race where Verstappen finished first, Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) took second place and Lando Norris (McLaren) took third place.
This season, Verstappen has 15 race wins, Sergio Perez (Red Bull) 2 and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) one. The 6th leg of the season, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, was canceled due to adverse weather conditions.
The 20th race of the championship, the Mexican Grand Prix, will be held on October 29.
