Third free practiceMax Verstappen also set the third fastest time in the last free practice for the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan. As in both sessions on Friday, he had to put up with his Ferrari teammate Sergio Pérez and Charles Leclerc.

Pérez was the fastest driver on the Baku street circuit, with a time of 1.43.170. Leclerc was 0.070 seconds behind, Verstappen conceded 0.279 on the Mexican.

Pérez, winner of the Monaco GP two weeks ago, also set the best time in the first practice on Friday. In the second practice, Leclerc finished on top.

The last free practice session started fifteen minutes later than planned, because the fence had to be repaired after a crash in the Formula 2 sprint race. Qualifying therefore also starts fifteen minutes later this afternoon, at 4.15 pm. From a legal point of view, there must be at least two hours between the end of the last practice session and the start of qualifying.
