Max Planck Society conducts research together with Amazon

The Max Planck Society and Amazon are collaborating on research into artificial intelligence. The US group and the research company are launching a “Science Hub” in Tübingen, as Amazon Germany announced on Friday in Munich. Cooperation is not limited to Tübingen, however. The five-year framework agreement initially covers the four Max Planck Institutes for Intelligent Systems, Software Systems, Computer Science and Biological Cybernetics, but should be open to other Max Planck Institutes.

Amazon is contributing 700,000 euros in the first year, mainly intended to finance research projects and for the training and further education of doctoral students. (dpa)
