Ajax, one of the Dutch First Football League teams, signed with Maurice Steijn for the coaching role.
In the statement made by the club, it was noted that a 3-year contract was signed with the 49-year-old coach.
Steijn started his career at ADO Den Haag, coached VVV-Venlo, Al-Wahda, NAC Breda and last season Sparta Rotterdam.
Ajax Football Director Sven Mislintat stated that Steijn achieved results beyond expectations in the teams he worked for, “He showed his high performance many times. He is ready to go higher, I am sure of that.” said.
The Dutch team parted ways with manager Alfred Schreuder in January last season, after bad results.
