The 1975’s Matty Healy made a big splash at his band’s concert. During the performance to her hit “Love It If We Made It,” he marched in salute and raised his outstretched left arm to the line “Thank you, Kanye, very cool.” as can be seen in a video circulated on social networks. His fans are demanding an opinion.
The song quote critically alludes to Donald Trump’s reaction to Kanye West’s endorsement of Trump’s presidential candidacy. West repeatedly made headlines for his anti-Semitic statements. In December 2022, he denied the Holocaust and stressed that he liked Hitler.
The 1975 have not yet commented on this.
The successful British quartet is currently on tour; their album “Being Funny In A Foreign Language” was released in October 2022.
