Matthijs is really the sjaak, Boulevard wants a video: ‘Throw it online!’

It seems that the horror is not over yet for Matthijs van Nieuwkerk. A witch hunt has arisen over the video of him misbehaving. “Throw it online!” shouts RTL Boulevard.

Matthijs van Nieuwkerk must have immediately choked on his croissant in his Paris refuge when Özcan Akyol revealed on television that a compromising video of him is circulating. A video in which he misbehaves terribly. Only Özcan has now had the images in front of him three or four times, so many TV colleagues have him.

Big mystery

The strange thing is: other TV celebrities claim that the video is not widely shared in Hilversum. “If Eus says that he saw it on three or four different telephone calls, then it must exist, but it is a big mystery,” says TV expert Rob Goossens at the desk of RTL Boulevard.

Angela de Jong also did not realize it, she says in the AD Media podcast. “This is certainly new to me. No, I didn’t see it.”

And what about Tina Nijkamp? She writes on her analysis channel: “Did I see it? No, few people seem to have seen it. So now we have to wait: when will the rehearsal video be released?”

‘Me neither’

Private boss Evert Santegoeds would like to have the images, but does not have them. “I believe Eus has already received it four times, but I haven’t yet. Johan Derksen already knows that those fragments have been edited. Where he gets that from… I would like to see it, actually,” he says in the podcast Strictly Private.

Evert really wants to publish those images. “Yes, they are shared in app groups of former employees, so if they don’t come out with it, it will take a while before it gets to me, but I’m up for it.”

‘Throw it online!’

Rob Goossens is also very eager and would like to see Matthijs exposed. “It says a lot that even his intimates have started to look at him with different eyes. Now I would almost say: please throw that video online, because without it we don’t know what we are talking about at all.”

By intimates, in addition to Özcan, he also refers to Jan Slagter, who apparently also has more information. Jan says: “I do believe that in the end there was more going on than I was told and that doesn’t feel good, let me put it that way. That makes me a little sad too.”

Physical violence

Jan seems to have serious indications that Matthijs has physically misbehaved. “Matthijs really responded to the question: ‘Did you use physical violence?’ and said: ‘No, Jan, only nose to nose.’ Well, it turns out that more has happened. I have also had quite a few intrusive conversations with Matthijs and I now feel a bit uncomfortable about it.”

And those images? Jan would like to see that too. “I would also like to see it so I can get an idea of it. I doubt whether this should be shared publicly with the Netherlands. It’s all getting so ugly, while I don’t think it helps the people who are really affected and who are still suffering.”

‘I want him badly!’

The eagerness with which the hunt for the Matthijs video has started is very striking. Luuk Ikink thinks that Matthijs resents Özcan very much: “You also know that Matthijs van Nieuwkerk is in Paris and thinks: damn it, why did you mention that video in the first place? If he hadn’t said it, we wouldn’t have known.”

Eddy Zoëy finally: “If you receive the video, Rob, I would be happy to receive it from you. Thank you.”
