Matthijs van Nieuwkerk takes all the hits, but his former horror sidekick Dieuwke Wynia was at least as bad. Yet she is well spared and has long since returned to work. In the meantime, she posts the strangest messages on her closed Instagram account, which irritates television critics.

‘Very weird’

Ratings authority Tina Nijkamp doesn’t understand it. “You don’t actually hear anything about Dieuwke. How is she doing? Well, I looked at her LinkedIn and it turns out she has made a few documentary series,” she says in her podcast Tina’s TV Update.

She continues: “But what is my surprise? On Monday at three o’clock, three hours after the news that Matthijs would no longer work with RTL, she suddenly posted something on Instagram that she ‘had a lot of fun working’ on a documentary series for Amazon Prime. That was so strange…”

‘Really bizarre’

It looks like some kind of staircase, says Tina. “How can you put out such a post at three o’clock on a day like that, when Matthijs is not going to work at RTL? That’s really bizarre and I don’t think it’s necessary, because the series can only be seen on Amazon Prime from March 1. I think it’s a bit inappropriate for her to post that. I should have just waited a week before doing that.”

Dieuwke also posted a photo on Insta of herself standing next to a large statue of a rabbit, made of grass. “I would like this rabbit as a table lord, the smell alone makes me happy,” it says.

Weird and inappropriate

Tina doesn’t understand why you would post something like that. “Another bizarre post from Dieuwke Wynia. Why is she doing this? Isn’t this incredibly unkind to the victims and everyone else involved? What do you mean NOW make a reference to the DWDD era with a rabbit as ‘lord of the table’? It seems like it doesn’t really affect her or anything. Weird and inappropriate.”

AD opinion diva Angela de Jong does not understand that Dieuwke is being spared in this way, she says in the AD Media podcast. “For the past almost year and a half, since the Volkskrant article came out, she has been diving. And if she is now tough enough to throw these kinds of things out into the world, then it would be time for her to give an interview, right?”

Accountability

It is time for Dieuwke to be held accountable, says Angela. “Especially after what we heard Janine Abbring tell at Coen Verbraak, openly and nakedly, about her actions and the person in charge of management.”

Private star journalist Jan Uriot agrees. He agrees What does Jan think?: “Dieuwke Wynia was the evil genius. Maybe she acted on his instructions – that is not known – but I think she gets away with it very easily. I actually find it a bit strange that she is forgotten in this whole story.”
