The Calgary Flames lost their most effective forward for free last week Johnny Gaudreau To the Columbus Blue Jackets, and now there’s another superstar in the starting lineup.

of The Athletic according to information, the attacker Matthew Tkachuk has informed the club that he will not sign a multi-year contract extension. Because of this, Tkachuk will probably be traded to another team.

The 24-year-old Tkachuk is a restricted free agent, meaning his player rights are held by Calgary despite his uncontracted status.

According to The Athletic’s sources, Tkachuk is pursuing a transfer to five possible different clubs with which he would be willing to sign a long-term contract. The clubs in question are St. Louis, Vegas, Florida, Nashville and Dallas.

Calgary drafted Tkachuk in 2016 with the number six pick. Last season, for the first time in his career, he broke the 100-point mark in the regular season.

In addition to the power points, Tkachuk is known as a tough mouthpiece, like his legendary father Keith and a younger brother who plays for the Ottawa Senators Brady.

Calgary, which won its division last season, will probably have quite a gap to fill, as with the departure of Gaudreau and possible Tkachuk, the club would lose 219 power points and 82 goals compared to last season.
