Matthew Perry is dead. This news not only shook up fans of the long-running sitcom “Friends” on Sunday (October 29th).
The cause of death initially remained unclear. The fact is that Perry was found lifeless in the pool at his property. His body is now at the coroner’s office. An autopsy is still pending.
As “Daily Mail” reports, the actor is said to have played a game of pickleball on Saturday. This is a ball sport. It remains unclear whether this is related to his death. The paper also quoted an audio recording from the rescue workers online. There was talk of “drowning”.
Prescription antidepressants, a drug used to treat lung diseases and anti-anxiety pills were said to have been found in Perry’s home, according to TMZ. The “Friends” star has repeatedly reported on his drug and alcohol addiction, most recently in detail in his autobiography “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.” Perry declared several times that he was clean.
