The 34-year-old Aussie star said the reason for the rapture that happened during the Christmas holidays was simple.
– Money, daa, Mitcham said while visiting a morning television program.

Mitcham said that in his youth he was ashamed of his sexuality and suffered from depression. After the Olympic victory, he became addicted to methamphetamine, from which it took years to get dry.
– Drugs and alcohol won’t take your problems away. You only get problems and a hangover, Mitcham, who has survived for seven years, recalled in the program.
Mitcham ended his sports career in 2016.

Today, the Australian lives in London and works for a company that works for diversity and inclusion in sports.
Mitcham is also an ambassador for a charity that helps sex and drug addicts. Services are offered online all over the world.
– We are trying to raise money to get more therapists to meet the need.
