For the upcoming Foo Fighters festival tour, there is still no officially confirmed replacement for Taylor Hakwins. The drummer died unexpectedly in Bogota on March 25 last year while the band was on a world tour.

However, there was a lot of speculation about the successor. Then last week (March 19) it seemed to get through that both Pearl Jam’s Matt Cameron and Atom Willard of Against Me! could take the place. The former denied the rumors in an Instagram story last Saturday (March 25), the first anniversary of Hawkins’ death.

“FYI the internet rumors aren’t true I didn’t join the Foos,” Cameron wrote.

A journalist from the British “Sun” had first expressed the suspicion, on the grounds that he was good friends with Grohl and was also a close confidant of Hawkins. He also represented him in Los Angeles last year, at the second of the drummer’s two tribute concerts.
