Mathys Tel is only getting a little playing time at FC Bayern this season despite strong performances. An exit seemed possible. But that probably won’t happen.
FC Bayern will continue to be able to rely on Mathys Tel’s services in the future. This is reported by the usually well-informed transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Accordingly, the Frenchman would like to stay with the German record champions in order to become a club legend there.
On Monday, Romano had already reported on a meeting between Tel’s advisor Gadiri Camara and Bayern’s sports director Christoph Freund. This is said to have been positive. The club apparently made it clear that it intended to keep the 18-year-old.
Tel has been under contract in Munich since 2022. The talent moved from French club Stade Rennes to Säbener Straße. This season he appeared in 29 competitive games, scoring six goals and setting up four. His contract in Munich runs until 2027.
