Mathieu Bonne ready for challenge: “survival mode on”
If Mathieu Bonne succeeds in his aim, he will be the first athlete in the world to complete the impressive series in the Spanish islands. With this stunt, Bonne, himself a lifeguard at LAGO Olympia in Bruges, and his employer pool manager LAGO want to inspire children to play sports.
“Tomorrow I start the biggest challenge of my life,” Bonne said in a video message. “I start swimming around 6 am tomorrow morning, and then it’s survival mode.”
If everything goes according to plan, Bonne will reach his final goal next Thursday.
