Delirious with joy, Robert Mühren celebrated his goal against FC Groningen. The goal thief made the liberating 3-2 twelve minutes before the end. And that gave Mühren a very nice feeling. “This gives a boost to the next game.”
Robert Mühren started again in the base, after he started on the bench against Ajax a few days ago. He showed against FC Groningen that he can still be extremely important. At the second post, the 33-year-old attacker tapped in the ball. “By our willpower we won this match.”
Safe 15th place
Partly thanks to Mühren’s goal, FC Volendam has risen again in the ranking. Before the winter break, Wim Jonk’s team was still stiff at the bottom, but the Volendam team has now left the relegation zone and are currently number fifteen in the premier league. “Only there are still so many points to divide.”

Shopping
The relief after the victory over FC Groningen in the stadium was great. Mühren also noticed this during and after the match. “We did what everyone wanted.” As a real Volendammer it is more pleasant to do your shopping, at least you would think so. Only the sober top scorer of FC Volendam always goes to the supermarket with a pleasant feeling. “I always do my shopping with a big smile.”
